Doors Open Day

Various locations, Edinburgh

In 2005 visitors to Edinburgh’s Doors Open day were invited to reflect on some of the buildings in a different way - behind a number of doors there was a series of contemporary objects that had taken up temporary residence in the buildings.

Modern silver, textiles, hand made books, works created by contemporary artists and designers were selected to emphasise a link with the building or space.
