IC:Innovative Craft is excited to be working with Ruthin Craft Centre, Wales and showing this new exhibition containing examples of contemporary tapestry and other contemporary works inspired by a knowledge of or engagement with the art of tapestry.

The invitation by Phillip Hughes and the Ruthin team to create this show has offered IC an interesting opportunity to reflect upon the work of the Dovecot Studios in the context of wider tapestry practice in Edinburgh.  Also featured in this exhibition is work from Edinburgh artists Jo Barker, Sara Brennan and Linda Green, alongside pieces from Anna Ray and film maker Matt Hulse.

Follow A Thread has previously been on display at Ruthin Craft Centre and in the New Year will travel to , Nottinghamshire, this exhibition is your opportunity to reflect on this on the exhibition and work offered that, for many, is an unfamiliar or little understood medium.
