Taking Time: Approaches to Textiles

Two exhibitors from Taking Time: Craft and the Slow Revolution, Amy Houghton and Shane Waltener, are joining us in the Dovecot building on to offer different insights into their work as contemporary textile artists. 

Amy Houghton will give an informal talk, in conversation with Amanda Game, based on her piece in Taking Time that explores the archives of the Dovecot Studios in Mount Stuart. 

Shane Waltener will be working on a site-specific installation live in the Dovecot building, using wool from the studios along with weaving and knitting techniques to create a unique piece/performance on the stair-well – this piece will be filmed to be added to the growing IC YouTube channel available online – to reserve a place please email info@innovativecraft.co.uk
